The Fallbrook Garden Club will present its sixth annual garden tour on Saturday,
May 22.
Seven fabulous gardens are included in the tour, with something special for
everyone to enjoy in each garden. Among the features are a Mediterranean
botanical garden designed by Tom Piergrossi, host of the Emmy winning show,
"Down to Earth," and an extensive, fully matured succulent garden along with two
newly planted succulent and cacti water-wise gardens. The tour also includes a
new vineyard set in beautiful, colorful surroundings; a Victorian house and
garden with lovely walkways, a giant redwood tree, a classic railroad car and a
lovely rose garden displaying over 100 varieties of brilliant colors and
unexpected flora.
Interesting vintage automobiles will be on display at selected homes on the tour
as well as at the Fallbrook Historical Society. In addition, a number of
Fallbrookâs talented artisans will be at work in the gardens throughout the
tour.
Tickets/maps will be sold only on the day of the event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at
the Fallbrook Historical Society, located at 260 Rockycrest Road. Plants and
miscellaneous garden items will also be for sale at that time. Ticket prices are
$20 per person or 2 tickets for $35.
Proceeds from the garden tour benefit the Fallbrook Garden Club's
Scholarship Fund and
Community Service
projects, including the
La Paloma School Garden.
